2.Have your own SELFIE SCREENING video of 2-3 minutes highlighting your background,Experience ,your own professional goal etc.
Thsi can be treated as Self Screening and it will save cost for the Employer in calling for a preliminary meeting .
My own PPTs and PPTs ?Video file of my mentee Paushka Parikh is an example which has beengiving him great mileage.

Soft Skills :Gujarat
Soft Skill:
To understand soft skill first of all
let us understands “Hard Skills”. A mechanic handling machine, an electrician
handling complex electric connection, an aeronautical handling airplane, a TV
repairer handling TV, a plumber handling the pipes, a mason dong the work of
cementing are the skill directly related to the work and the expertise of these
kind are termed as hard skills.
You will also come across people who
are very cool in the pressure; there are people who will present their ideas in
a very convincing way. There are people who are extra polite and grow up
steadily in life. There are people who have tremendous command on language
especially English. There are people who are very comfortable in discussion or
in interview whereas there are some who can get the new job easily. These all
are “Soft Skills” very rarely taught however the same can be developed if
methodically and consciously groomed after understanding the importance of the
same.
These days to progress in life we
require not only:
a.
IQ :Intelligent Quotient
b.
EQ:Emotional Quotient but also
c.
SQ: Soft skill quotient or Spiritual
quotient.
Let us highlight some of these
skills:
A.SELF MANAGEMENT SKILLS:
1. Self Awareness-knowing what drives, angers, motivates, embarrasses,
frustrates, and inspires you.
2. Emotion management-being able to control unexpected emotions like
anger and frustration so you can think clearly and at you optimum.
3. Self Confidence-those who believe in themselves have access to
“Unlimited power”.
4. Stress management –being able to stay calm and balanced in stressful
overwhelming situations.
5. Resilience-ability to bounce back from a misstep in your job or a
career.
6. Persistence and perseverance-ability to overcome challenging
situations and obstacles and maintain the same energy.
7. Patience ability to step back in an emergency to think clearly or the
ability to pause and wait when you are in a rush or want to rush others.
B. PEOPLE SKILLS;
1. Communication skills:-skills to listen and articulate your ideas in
writing and verbally to any audience in a way where you are heard and you
achieve the goals you intended with that communication.
2. Presentation skills.
3. Facilitating skills ability to co ordinate and ability to get
feedback.
4. Interviewing skills (Facing and taking an interview)
5. Marketing” Self “skills.
6. Persuasion skills.
7. Team work skills
8. Leadership skills
9 Skills in dealing with difficult personalities/situations.
10. Networking skills.
11. Ability to think.
12. Negotiation skills
13. Mentoring skills
14. Organizing skills
15. Savvy in handling office politics.
Why this is required?
Due to fierce competition, there are many factors working in getting a
job, maintaining a job and growing in a job. Whereas hard skill gives you a
job, soft skill help you maintain, survive and grow in the job.
Why Gujarat?
It has been observed and surveyed that a resident or a student of Gujarat
is very good in hard skill but when it comes to presentation or any other
aspects of soft skills they are little minus than students of other state. It
was okay when whole generation was into a business, but these days with a
professionalization across the world, kids want to enjoy corporate life. Here
an average Gujarati fails. There is a void of institution which can groom
students on these aspects, hence this project.
Gujarat is already having ‘SCOPE’, an organization for empowering
Gujarati youth for speaking English which is very necessary component of soft
skill.
When India is the only country having population of 35% in youth, Why
Gujarat should not empower Gujarati youth to an international skills.
What is the Modus operandi? ( Small Scale)
This is a 30/50/70 hour modules which covers all major soft skill parameters
making students more employable with a frequency of Crash/Staggered period. The training can be imparted at the college
premises or at the designated centers of the organization.
Who are the trainers?
The trainers are the blend of industry and academic orientation. They
have themselves been the employee and later an employer to understand both the
aspects of industry as well as the student.
